Eric Clapton yacht “Va Bene”

Mega yacht Va Bene was built in 1992 for Greek buyer by Kees Cornelissen and designed by Richard Hein. In 1997, the ship was bought by a British tycoon, Bernie Ecclestone. After 5 years, he decided to sell his chic vessel, but the buyer was found only in 2005. He was a famous rock musician, Eric Clapton, who owns the yacht to this day. At that time, it cost him 9 million pounds, and as the owner of the yacht says, he never regretted the purchase.

At the time of purchase the yacht was already 13 years old, and despite the fact that it was still afloat and looked presentable, Clapton decided to repair it. In 2007-2008, Va Bene was redesigned and improved, which, despite its age, helps it not to be inferior to younger models. The whole process took place in the UK under the strict supervision of the owner. Therefore, the guests of the ship can immediately feel the rich inner world of the musician.

This luxury vessel is designed for short trips as well as long journeys. Light, elegant and timeless boat design will not bother you and will emphasize the beauty of the sea views. Eric Clapton yacht can comfortably accommodate 12 guests in 6 incredibly luxurious bedrooms. The interior of the rooms is filled with calm tones in combination with the original furniture textures, which were mostly made to order. In some parts of the yacht, there is the influence of the Art Deco style and numerous wooden invoices are evident.

Eric is a great connoisseur of contemporary art and this can not be overlooked. Part of his collection you can see right on the yacht. Marble sculptures and ceramic vases of different styles and sizes, along with unusual paintings and designer furniture, give the ship a charm.
